Curriculum:

Some emotions can be challenging to face — not because they are wrong or bad, but because most of us were never taught the tools to work with them.

In this workshop, we will explore so-called “challenging emotions” not by forcing them out of the body in a cathartic way, but by learning how to safely involve the nervous system in processing and integrating them.

Together, we will look at:

  • Why, how and when these emotions arise

  • What they may be trying to tell us

  • The potential strength and wisdom hidden within them

You’ll begin to shift your perspective on emotions and uncover limiting thought patterns that might be keeping you stuck.

We'll learn that there is no “wrong” emotion — each one carries something essential. In fact, we need the full spectrum of emotion to be fully alive.

And remember: Healing happens in connection.

  • Understanding Anger, Shame & Fear

    • What these emotions are really trying to signal

    • Debunking myths and negative beliefs about each emotion

  • Somatic Signatures

    • Exploring the physical sensations (body maps) of anger, shame, and fear

    • Learning where and how these emotions show up in the body

  • Regulation Techniques

    • Practical tools to soothe and support the nervous system when these emotions arise

    • Matching the technique to the emotion’s energy (containment vs. expression)

  • Embodying Emotions Safely

    • Moving from resistance to integration

    • Practices to physically embody these emotions with presence and compassion

  • Embodying Safety, Compassion, and Understanding towards the self

    • Develop a felt-sense of inner safety and self-trust.

    • Learn to meet your emotions and experiences with kindness instead of judgment.
